Maybe a more accurate image would be Uncle Sam resisting the pull by the trudging GOP while Bibi stands, knee deep in gore, at the top of the pile, whilst Trump looks on from the ground below.
The US should have stood by FDR’s tact of not supporting the UN resolution to establish the state of Israel. But once we did, and armed & supported the Israeli’s we bound ourselves up with their survival. If we quit today, ……, well,… we can’t.
