I guess I don’t understand the last panel. The “oppressed” have to be the Palestinian Arabs. But why would the Palestinians bomb them into oblivion? Shouldn’t that be the Israeli who do the bombing?

The U.S. is not funding genocide. The U.S. provides funding for Israel’s security by laws made since 1948. Netanyahu is misusing those funds in his violations of agreements made since 1948 that brought this war. Biden is pressuring Israel and Netanyahu, privately calls Netanyahu nasty names, but cannot govern Israel nor cut off that funding. The last guy who tried to hold off funding that was law made by congress was impeached for it.

Palestine was a region, an area, not a country. There were many Jews there in 1948, and back since Joshua. The Allies in Europe that had been occupied by Nazi Germany were shamed by the Holocaust, but did not want the Jews to return to their countries. Evangelicals in Britain and the U.S. seized the opportunity to push their agenda of re-establishing Israel in order to force GOD’s hand and bring the Second Coming of prophecy. They sold the Allied countries with the noble looking plan that fit all the West wanted. U.S. leaders were naïve not realizing the level of anti-Semitism in Europe. It was minimal here. The Arabs had supported Germany during the war, so that justification was used.
