When holidaying on the island of Hoy we had to keep an eye on our small dog as Skuas kept dive-bombing him, they looked big enough to pick him up. Thankfully, they never did. But not a good holiday for dog……
When I lived in Santa Barbara, we were on a walk on San Marcos Foothills Preserve, when a huge bird pointed my Chihuahua. I quickly picked her up and the bird flew back up, then it started droning above us, giving up only when it saw that I wasn’t going to put her down anymore. Quite an adventure.
