SWEE-EET!

I’m sad that so many straight white men are threatened by them.

I’ve been watching the tournament. The women’s quality of play continues to rise at an impressive rate. The Americans and Germans have learned that their focus on athleticism and their physical size just doesn’t cut it anymore. A team with lesser size, speed, and skills can compete with that when they use the whole field and play effectively as a team.

I watched Germany vs Korea and Colombia vs Morocco today, and both games reflected this. Germany just tried brute force, and though slower and smaller the Korean’s positioning and awareness of team mates gave them a well deserved tie, sending the Germans packing. Morocco managed to hold of a very effective attack by Colombia, gaining an unexpected victory, their second.

It’s all great to see.

Gosh guys, am I the only one here that finds this sweet and funny? Thank you Mr. Heller.
