Am thinking about how great this strip could have been if Cathy G had been more inspired… somewhere early in the strip, the Boss could have sold the company to a more demanding Boss. Cathy could have been threatened with downsizing, she’s have to go back to school to upgrade her skills, get an executive position, and all the stress that goes with it, THEN toss in marriage and a child, perhaps two…
There was untapped potential for a lifetime of great strips…
If only old to-do lists smelled like sugar, cinnamon and vanilla, we’d pay more attention to them.
True, WebSpider. While I think that Cathy is good at portraying the neurosis of a lot of women, she loses me at times because she doesn’t have a spine when it comes to men or marriage and she’s never dealt with a real crisis (that I can recall). It’s usually about the minor things like shopping and eating and men.
