Cantore used to be known for being a hurricane magnet but sometimes he misses the mark as well since he just goes to the largest population center in the “cone of uncertainty” issued by the NHS and if the storm veers from its expected track then he is just on the edge of the action. This happened during Ian last August when Cantore was talking about the inundation of Tampa Bay and the PInellas peninsula and then the storm wobble east and clobbered Cape Coral and Charlotte County instead so one of his associates got to enjoy the brunt of the storm and he travelled 90 miles down the coast to report the next day.

The Curse of the Bambino took 86 years to break. The Mets have a long drought to work thru.

Speaking of attention vortices. Wonder what kind of staging he’ll be doing for his report.
