One of the stories Randy Bachman tells is about the Guess Who at the US and Winnipeg boarder. They were at US Customs, early 70’s, from previous visits they were friendly with the boarder guard. So onetime they were there, on the US side and the guard told them to forget their trip, he was ordered to direct all Canadians with green cards to the “white” building, this was the army draft office. On the back of the green card in fine print it says the holder of this card, during war (Vietnam) can be drafted as an American citizen. He suggested the band drive down a little side street, turn left at a church?, take a right and they would be back in Canada.
