Why? Because of the destruction of civil values and morality by Marxist left wing Democrats. It’s not guns, those are only a means to an end. The AR-15 has been around since 1959. It is used in less than 3% of mass shootings. Hand guns are the weapon of choice in most shootings.
So all you lefty gun grabbers, why are you so opposed to the most popular hunting gun which is minimally responsible for gun deaths? Why?

And, like past Marxist, communist, fascist, otherwise totalitarian regimes that the left wing Democrats are so enamored with, they want to remove self defense weapons from the public so that they can further restrict human rights and do away with the Constitution and its Bill of Rights.
