Tanks are pretty last century, but then most soldiers seem best able to fight last century’s wars too. So maybe, MAYBE the tanks will be in time to… and useful at… doing something to prevent Russia’s massively larger army from eventually stumbling to a win. Personally, all uninformed as I am, I’d prefer drones and lots of rockets and bombs for ’em.
Kinda stupid ‘toon here. People without any military insight or training are thinking that tanks are obsolete because of how many Russian tanks and other armored vehicles have been destroyed. Not so. Russian armored battle tactics suck and are basically nonexistent. There is a vast difference between western MBT training and tactics and that of Russia. The USA and NATO has a vast amount of experience in combined arms warfare. The Russian losses to weapons such as Jevelins, NLAWs, drones etc. would not be seen in western forces. Russia is using WWII and old Soviet tactics against 21st century tactics and equipment so of course they’re suffer massive losses.
No, the MBT is still a very effective weapon as utilized by the USA and western forces.
