Your Dad and mine could have been contractors together. Dad was well okay as a carpenter but he was a great electrician. I remember on several occasions when I would say "Uh Dad Why did you..? " " Shut up your Mom might not notice." She always did and there was a rework project to follow.
I stayed in San Francisco in a converted Victorian house. The big trick was finding the light switch in each room. I left with the firm conviction that there should be a law: when you walk into a room, you put out your right hand and there would be … a note telling you where the light switch was located . :)
I lived in Santa Cruz at the time of Loma Prieta earthquake. For a couple of months, I had to commute through Watsonville to Gilroy to get to my job in San Jose. It was about an hour and half each way. It probably would not have been any more fun on a bus. :)
In Sylmar, I lived next to an abandoned strawberry field when I was out of work. I watered those strawberries every day and they were a great supplement to my diet. I cannot imagine a job picking strawberries, though. Makes my back hurt just to think about it. :(
For two summers, beginning when I was 13, I picked tobacco in North Carolina. It’s messy. Your clothes get covered in tar and the irrigation sprinklers run when you are in the fields, even if it is raining. Still, you get to work standing up.

Sitting on the toilet fridge could be a bit chilly. Another good one, Pedro.

No problem, Sr. Martin. We figured it out—and so did you. And it’s very funny, as usual! Thanks!
