Sending a dribble of MBTs is not going to accomplish much. The USA, Germany and Britain need to send a 300-500 mix of Abrams, Chieftains and Leopard IIs to make an effective armored force. This will allow Ukraine to make a modern combined armed force to force Russia out of their territory. A couple of dozen of modern MBTs may help at a low level but to make an effective force, that just won’t cut it. Canada’s PM saying we need to avoid embarrassing Putin doesn’t help either. Trudeau is an embarrassment to his country.
