I had a cat like that. Anytime we were gone for a couple of days she’d give us the cold shoulder when we got back.

Could be worse, Irving. When we go on vacation, our cats use the bath mat as a litter box to express their displeasure. Every. Single. Time.

My cats usually act surprised that we are home, like they’ve claimed the house as their own, they have a big house party scheduled and we ruined their plans. ¯\(ツ)

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Have a great day, all!

When I came back from a “three day” business trip that turned into 30 days of overtime, my two cats reacted differently. Kirby immediately ran home when I called and, although not usually a meower, meowed continually for 15 minutes telling me how glad he was to see me. We walked around during that time as I called for Johnny Depp. He eventually sauntered out from under the deck with an “Oh, it’s you.” attitude. It took him all of three hours to forgive me enough to go on a walk together.

I don’t know about dogs but cats definitely show their displeasure when their staff leaves them for a few days. Fortunately they forgive.

Ugh. Not a good night last night. Every hour or two my stomach tried to get rid of its contents even though it was empty. Finally got up at 1:30 this afternoon, ate a little breakfast, then went back to sleep until a half hour ago. Starting to feel a little mor human now. I know tomorrow will be better but I will still be tired. Sunday I will be able to get around. Still, the alternative to feeling this way is probably death and I don’t like that idea at all – way too many projects I want to complete before I die.

I am not sure of the storm path but we got hit with about 4" of wet snow last night and today. Hmm, maybe tomorrow I can use my neighbour’s tractor and do a little plowing. Sounds like fun.

I hope everyone here had a fantastic day today and is looking forward to an excellent weekend.
