The only thing Republicans care about after telling Americans they had solutions to gas and food prices is wasting tax money on investigations that lead nowhere.
But what else should we expect from the party of no?
I don’t line our re-election system because it means incumbents do virtually nothing but run for re-election, raise campaign donations, and trash their presumptive opponents. But to allow only one term (as has been done in some places) sets up a scenario where they ise that one term to taid the coffers and enrich themselves. If I could changes the system, I’d require incumbents who want a second term (and they could be limited to two or three terms) to face the voters without an opponent. Either 50+% vote to keep them in for another term or they’re out, and a new slate of candidates runs for the office.

The only drawback is that then you have to deal with MAGA Republicans crying “stolen elections!”
