Of course there’s a reason, Many businesses are in the red until that day when they’re hoping the volume of sales will put their bottom line in the black on their ledgers and they’ll start making a profit.
No hesitation there. The expert knows. Assumedly Gladys is drinking fully caffeinated coffee to combat the effects of the tryptophan so she can bring her A game. CHARGE (it)!!!!!!
I wouldn’t leave the house today for anything. For those of you rushing out to get shopping done and being in heavy crowds, please be careful and don’t bring home a respiratory illness. But do get some good deals!
japanese retailers are adept at adopting american holidays to boost sales, valentine’s day and halloween being the best examples, along with christmas, of course. none of these holidays have any connection whatsoever with japanese culture. so we weren’t really surprised when we made one of our periodic visits to the mall last monday and found it unusually crowded (it’s usually empty after all the weekend sales). why was it crowded? for the “black friday” sales, of course.
time is also an elastic concept in japan and, similar to “traffic safety week” that lasts anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks, the mall operator decided that black friday would be one week long…

Probably because Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday and people are usually too full in their belly to want to go back to work on the Friday.

I remember black Friday as being the day the company I worked for having a massive layoff.

Whether her reasoning is right or wrong, it most definitely is a fact that most all shoppers are carb loaded today….

I plan to hit some thrift stores, today. I guess my carbs are too low for serious mercantile battling.

It seems like it’s black Friday every week, this just an official black Friday.

I must be carb-overloaded, only leaving the recliner for necessities.
