Tell your doctor you need it because their years of medical school were wasted as you know more. Blah blah may kill you, if you are allergic to it, don’t take it!! If you don’t take it, how do you know one way or the other?

Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. I know that to help protect against lawsuits a company will have to tell about the possibility of potential side effects.

My doctor said she gets frustrated with the whole situation when a new “miracle medicine” is released and some patients swarm the office wanting it because it has an off label possibility of weight loss, sexual potency enhancement, etc., when the medicine hasn’t been on the market long enough to acquire information on how it actually works for the approved use, much less off label use. She’s lost patients from the practice because she won’t prescribe X medicine for off label uses. I applaud her for that.
