Uh…Biden being VP and all…but I think he kind of said the sensible thing. It’s just that our apetite for an honest discussion is non-existent. We are so used to hear elites mouthing meaningless platitudes that when someone dares to say something simple and straight, we label it as fear-mongering.
Joe should adhere to the old “Put brain in gear before mouth in motion” at times, but at least if he slows down he has something to put in gear. Unlike “the decider”.
The assumption is that the health of business is more important than the health of people. To say anything at all that might slow business down is considered a ‘gaffe’ even when it is a truth that may keep your family safe.
It is a sad commentary on our economy that we fear we cannot survive a week or two of slowdown to assure that our population remains healthy, and that we have are unwilling to put in place any system that would assure that people AND businesses can remain safe and secure when we are threatened.
You’ll have to excuse Stewie. He’s already admitted that the reason he mindlessly criticizes Obama is merely in retaliation for all the well-earned criticism Bush received.

Childish, yes, but we all know that’s what Stewie is.

By lies, I thought of the Iraq WMDs, but Bush doesn’t have a monopoly on lies.

You’re babbling, Stewie.

Stunning comeback, Stewie. I’m in awe of your ability to skirt the issues.
But when all you have is to apologize for Bushian policies, what else can you do?
I feel for you, man.

Stewie, let’s face it, you should BE in analysis. DSM IV is your diary.
