Americans are very concerned with the shape of the economy so what does Biden do. Cite some meaningless statistics (from his cheat sheet, of course) and say, “It doesn’t look a recession to me” and promptly walk out without taking any questions. And the announcement that the scaled back version of BBB? It’s gov’t spending that’s causing inflation. So that and the microchip bill is just what the doctor ordered. NOT!

Yay, we have a recession! Wonderful. Hope it’s a doozy so we can blame Biden.

^ We can follow lies just fine, we simply choose not to believe them.

Aren’t booms and busts natural parts of capitalism? Do you want the government to control things instead? Are you some sort of socialist, or communist?

    (See how dumb it sounds?)

Summers and the other Trump Disciples continue to yearn for a recession, so they can weaponize it, as Summers is doing here, and continue to LIE about it, as they do everything.

As said elsewhere, the National Bureau of Economic Research, NBER, is the official agency that determines recessions, and has done so since the early 1940s. The U.K. uses the definition of two quarters of negative growth as their official measure. NBER takes in much more including unemployment and job growth. The only ones trying to redefine recession here are those who revel in seeing U.S. failures.
