“People are “really, really down” after a relentless two years of disease and division, rising cost of living, war in Europe and the devastating impact of the climate crisis.”

I’m stumped by the first post. Biden is our president because the “vile” DNC somehow anointed him. I thought it was voters opting for the better candidate.

Anyone stupid enough to believe President Biden controls global inflation and corporate greed deserves the dark, angry, ignorant friendship they have with other conservatives.

The interest rates have been kept low for a LONG time. This allowed wealthy execs to take their income as stock options and then take loans with stocks as collateral so they don’t even pay the low capital gains rate. Savings accounts have “lost” money for a long time and even CDs don’t pay much.

Many 401K plans have limited choices; again, nothing new.

Corporate media (it sure isn’t liberal) thrive on controversy more than the whole truth.

Oil companies are making record profits and Repubs refuse to pass bills to limit gouging. These companies want to keep their subsidies and huge tax breaks, so it is a win-win for them to keep consumer prices high regardless of actual oil prices. Sucks for consumers and too many people don’t understand the manipulation of markets by corporations that pay off Repubs and some Dems to keep their perks.

If this mess was occurring during a Trump presidency, the Democrats, MSM, GC commenters and I would blame him. But, Biden and his administration get a pass. But, not from me. Biden seems to have no idea the damage he (his administration) is causing to the economy, the Border, crime and our bank accounts. I think the non-paid Biden supporters know that, but are too stubborn and embarrassed to admit it.

We have many ignorant people posting here, or they are dirt poor. If you participate in any 401k program through work, or have your own account, you have seen 2 years of gains in the stock market wiped away by Joe Biden’s policies. You can’t dump trillions of dollars into the economy and not expect inflation. Inflation is, in a nutshell, too many $$$ chasing too few goods. Wish Joe had taken Econ 101 when he was such a brilliant student, instead of getting caught plagiarizing other people’s work.

The status of the economy is because of grumpy people and Putin of course. I wonder why oil companies are suddenly price gouging NOW instead of last year or the year before, How did Putin do it?
