REGULATED Capitalism is the best system to have, much better that Communism. But we in the USA do not have the regulations anymore, allowing the Harvard business boys, with their “Shareholder Value” focus, to run rampant over the rest of us. I have read some articles by economists who write that the 1%, our Wealthy Elite are killing the Golden Goose that our system was after WWII, during which increased prosperity was shared, the Middle Class grew, and spent money. This prosperity, while it did not fully include women, the Black and the Brown communities as much, did promote a sound political, economic and social atmosphere, until the 1970’s, when Harvard Business School, supported by Ronald Reagan, initiated the grand counter-attack against the New Deal and the Fair Deal. Today, they’re just mopping up.
And if you offer any corrections/alternatives to the free market (no gubmint oversight — ‘cause that’s just intrusive interference with private stuff! — let alone regulation) you are a lowdown, dirty, filthy, FREEDOM HATING Socialist Nazi Communist Progressive Liberal Scumbag, out to steal from everybody with all your unfair lying cheating stealing stoopid redistribution taxes.
I would be happy if my annuity pension actually grew but the CARGILL filthy capitalists that created their pension system for the peons made sure that we were screwed from the get go.
