I am tired of references to Putin potentially using nuclear weapons in Ukraine as a justification for other countries not directly confronting him. He, like most of us, is aware of the long term ecological dangers of using such weapons. Not to mention the inevitable crushing of his country economically and an overthrow of his rule should he take such a step. If Putin is unhinged enough to use nuclear weapons, he will use them regardless of the circumstances. If not today in Ukraine, then tomorrow when he doesn’t like something else. He’s a bully and we need to stand up to him.
I think someone needs to remind him that using a tactical nuke in a country with numerous nuclear reactors could start a catastrophic chain of events for Europe and Russia
