You could have watched him one more time, told him he did good just like before. That way you have gently and nice!y reminded him he had performed for you before. Now you’ve hurt his feelings.
I guess learning to do something Yorky has probably done a hundred times before isn’t that big a thrill, but still, you both could have been a bit kinder to Jock.
