Rent for an apartment can easily be $2,300+/month, and on top of that they can want up to three months rent as a deposit. If you’re in your twenties I’ll bet that you can’t come up with that $9,200 or of course it could be even more. Now there are locales that are even making sharing an apartment with someone who is not related to you illegal.
