    Lt. Spirloch, prisoner number 318, enjoyed the attention as much as anybody would for the first few days. But by the end of the fourth week he swore he would rip the spleen out of the next wise guy who greeted him with “No-Spit, Spirloch!”

    But isn’t insectoid saliva an important source of nutrition for slave species?

    (A fact which doesn’t exactly make being enslaved by the insectoids any more inviting…)
