Don’t we all wish! Although there are other causes of death claiming many more people. And most of those can be avoided without vaccines.

Sigh. Fauci said something a lot more nuanced than that. Of course magats don’t DO “nuance” which to them translates as “a fancy word for lying.”

Most medical professionals are expecting Covid to eventually be an annual vaccine, like flu and shingles (and pneumonia if you’re at that age).

What he said is, we are entering a new stage, leaving the pandemic stage for the endemic stage. Which does not mean and never has meant that the virus is gone. But idiots will hear what they want and do what they want as long as they can blame someone else when their actions have consequences.

Dr. Fauci’s words were too big for them to understand.

If you care to read the above comments, you will discover that, while the “pandemic” is over, Covid19 has entered the “endemic” stage which is a nuanced way of saying it will be here forever in one form or another.

Very specific words have very specific meanings, and, without an adequate grasp of the English language, it is very easy to become “lost”!

here in japan we’re in the middle of the annual “golden week” holidays, which this year can be stretched to 10 days with time taken off from work, and happy holidayers are thronging to the beach and other leisure spots on public transportation, ensuring the covid will be with us for much, much longer. many have also traveled overseas to bring different strains back to japan with them when they return, although folks from other countries are still barred from traveling to japan…
