All is still pretty quiet around here. Mike spent the night last night and both he and Michael are still asleep.
Mike’s oral surgery went well yesterday. He did not have a general anesthetic because no one told him he needed to have an empty stomach. So it was Novocain and nitrous oxide instead. He said they had trouble removing one of his canines, but other than that it was all okay. He’s hurting a bit, but not as much as he anticipated. He looks great with his new denture.
His knee surgery is on the 20th and he says that they want him to stop all supplements and pain medications for 10 days before that. So he will be dealing with a torn meniscus in his knee for 10 days with no way to stop the pain. He doesn’t take anything stronger than ibuprofen (Advil), but 10 days without is going to be rough.
The carport materials arrived around 9:30 yesterday after a mix-up in the delivery point. (They tried to deliver it to the management company’s parking lot.) The two guys who did the delivery really didn’t want to have to move the stuff into the tennis court because it sits about 6 feet higher than the parking lot and they had to haul it up a slope to get it into the gate. I told them that their boss said it had to be secured, so they did it and locked it up tight.
Our forecast is for 97 today. The last of the double digit temps for quite a while. (Heavy sigh.)
it’ll only warm up to 66 this afternoon. there’s a large cloud coming our way, giving us an 84% chance of rain. after yesterday’s deluge, we lost a bunch of baby flowers.
i taught jack how to make the Montana Chicken Pot Pie last night, turned out really good. and we have planovers for next week, too.
Yep, we got sunshine, it was 46 early, 54 at the moment. Sunny, sunny, sunny today with a predicted high of 67. Sounds like a beautiful day. (^.^)
Good day for a good message from God from our sky pilot. We’re having a simple Sunday meal, liver, I sure do like liver.
My nephew can’t eat today, he getting ready for a rear end probe, and on top of that they’re going down his gullet. Oh well, he don’t like liver anyway.
