There was an antique store near where I lived which carried thrones as its speciality. It had about 18 or 20, in varying degrees of condition and eminence. I was considering buying one, built in the 1600s. Not a huge fancy one, but enough to be obvious. It was not at all comfortable to sit on. I would have needed a bunch of regal-looking drapery and cushions to pull it off. While I was deciding, the store went out of business.

“Game of Recliners” has been a disappointing sequel.
