I too noticed that part of the inaugural parade was an ‘outgoing procession’ of Bush and Cheney. Don’t you think just a few shoes should be tossed at him/them?

From a political cartoonist perspective this is probably as bad as losing Dan Quayle. I can only hope that Obama will not make the cartoonists lives so simple.

I’d prefer that George go with my boot planted firmly in his ass.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

    Check this one: http://comics.com/matt _ bors/

(as usual, remove the spaces on each side of the underscores)

Steve Sack drew a similar toon, mentionning people’s positions but he forgot to add Michael Moore.

CF, I think you can just put a \ in front of the underscores to get an intact url à la http://www.domain.com/some_file_of_interest.html

RE: CF & Matt Bors – comics.com does a terrible job of allowing you to perma-link to a toon. I wonder if she means the toon from 01/19 which currently the link is: http://comics.com/matt_bors?Page=2

And of course, Conrad http://www.gocomics.com/paulconrad/2009/01/16/ echoes the boot take. It’s been a long time with Resident Bush2, and it’ll take a while to repair. Early on, real whistleblower protections, and re-de-classification, followed by a few sessions of repealing stupid laws - Prohibition comes to mind.

I guess that means that liberal cartoonists won’t criticize anything that Obama does now doesn’t it?

    Like lambs to the slaughter.

They already criticised the closing (or reform) of Gitmo, the secretary of treasury, Blago, and the stem-cell thing shouldn’t be far.

TheGreatSatan states “I guess that means that liberal cartoonists won’t criticize anything that Obama does now doesn’t it?”

No, they won’t be criticizing Obama unless he does something wrong and unlike Bush it won’t be 24/7…

DH, with TGS it doesn’t matter what you say, he’ll distort it to his own ends.
