In May 2002 two biopsy samples were accidentally switched by the lab at United Hospital in St. Paul. Mistakenly believeing that she had cancer, doctors performed a double mastectomy on Linda McDougal, 46. (Doctor: Um, this is one of those good news/bad news things.) How much would you take to have your breasts cut off? If George W. Bush has his way. Linda McDougal could only collect $250,000 if she wins a pain-and-suffering lawsuit against the hospital. (George Bush: $125,000 per tit is more than enough!) Sure, it might seem a little harsh, but it's defending doctors from frivolous lawsuits that keeps medical care cheap! (Doctor 2: Wait- is this an appendectomy or a kidney transpant?) (Doctor 3: Who cares? It's only $250 an organ!
