What was it I said about “common” sense a while ago?

This toon is pretty lame–very, very late. That was taken out at the first squawk in the house–not that I disagree, it didn’t belong (wrong kind of stimulus). Let’s try a current topic, shall we?

I don’t agree with it, but I admit the toon is funny.

mtt - an equally astute comment from the left would be that ‘conservatives’ don’t care how the money is spent as long as it’s borrowed, involves war, and puts $$$ in the pockets of the top 10%.

curiosity1 About the borrowed money… How much is this “stimulus” costing and where is it from and WHO is not supporting it? We on the right don’t like war, we HATE it but we also know and can understand sometimes it is necessary to fight and kill when fighting. Top 10%? This is why I got $350 then several years later another $1500 from George Bush? I make under 50% over poverty. So?

What did I say about doing research before spouting off? Here’s a direct quote from the bill text: “SEC. 1109. PROHIBITED USES. None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available in this Act may be used for any casino or other gambling establishment, aquarium, zoo, golf course, or swimming pool.”

Note that very important word in the title of the section: “PROHIBITED”. FYI, that is the only mention of golf of any sort in the bill, frisbee is not mentioned at all. Someone’s pulling stuff out of an bleeep, and many are simply taking that for gospel. Shame.
