I would not drink from my tap, but we have water that comes out with visible particles from a water company that has regular “must boil water” states that they tend not to tell us about until after they’re done. Both my own household and our extended family have learned not to drink the water, unless you want to spend the following 24 hrs becoming well acquainted with the restroom.

Tap water is gross. Get a filter pitcher or a fridge with a dispenser. Just don’t drink straight tap.
