To make matters worse…..a bill is sitting on Ohio’s .DeWines desk to be signed to pass, allowing anyone of age to carry a weapon, with NO training, NO license!!! NO BRAINS

Something about Goodwyn’s drawing style has seemed familiar. I finally got the connection. It reminds me of advertising painted on the insides of large glass display windows of car dealerships. The cartoons and cartoonish lettering of those ads fascinated me when I was a kid. I rode my bicycle on the sidewalks past and admired them. Sometimes I saw them being painted. (“Want a Car? … C. Bradshaw!”)

At that time in our town, there were no shopping malls with huge parking lots, and companies such as Walgreen’s, Penney’s, Sears, A&P, Kroger’s, and some car dealers had outlets along “Main Street.” You could walk a few blocks from your house to them. I know there are still towns like that in between larger cities in my area. Sometimes I stop by, for a whiff of nostalgia.
