My aging dog does something similar. Down the driveway to the street. No, stay out of the street. Back up the driveway to the edge of the back yard. Stand there and look around. Back down the driveway until I just stop and wait. Eventually, she finds a spot, but by then I’m chilled to the bone, and my boss is wondering why I haven’t answered any of his emails in the last 20 minutes.
