Clay Aiken Slams ‘Sickly Demented’ Donald Trump, Says Ex-President Has ‘Psychiatric’ Issues
Clay Aiken has ripped into former President Donald Trump, calling him “sickly demented” with “mental and psychiatric disorders” in a new interview.
The American Idol alum, who recently announced plans to run for North Carolina’s 6th congressional district, appeared alongside Trump in The Celebrity Apprentice in 2012, finishing second to Arsenio Hall in the show.
As the “Invisible” singer prepares to make a second bid for Congress, he has shared a scathing assessment of Trump’s “despotic” term in the White House.
Speaking to Variety, he said of living through Trump’s presidency: "It was heartbreaking, I think, probably more so for me than others simply because having known him prior to him running and being elected, I didn’t know this despotic part of him—or at least I didn’t see it.
“No one who was on [the show] when I was on it was ever close to him. But when he got elected, I think I knew enough about him to recognize really all he wanted was attention and for people to like him and know his name.
“So, I reserved a little bit of hope, honestly, that he would, after winning the election, want so badly for everyone to love him that he would retreat and start trying to make everyone on both sides love him. I wanted it to believe that can be possible.
“Obviously, he very clearly proved that he was not capable of that anymore.”

The committee’s letter to McCarthy “suggestively” noted that his change of heart appeared to happen after visiting Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Jan. 26, before asking point blank whether the meeting had any bearing on his reversal, according to the Post.

Speaking to The Associated Press earlier this week, Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) stressed the importance of gaining the trust of the American people as he suggested how they could achieve that goal.

While he acknowledged there are some “irregularities,” he insisted there is no evidence of the type of widespread voter fraud that would have enabled Trump to overturn the full outcome of the presidential election.

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter has launched an attack on Donald Trump, calling the former president a “liar and con man” after he criticized politicians who refuse to say whether they’ve received a COVID-19 booster shot—an apparent swipe at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Trump made the comments during an interview on the One America News Network, condemning “gutless” public figures who won’t confirm or deny if they have had the third dose of the vaccine.
He said: “I’ve had the booster. Many politicians—I watched a couple of politicians be interviewed and one of the questions was, ‘Did you get the booster?’ because they had the vaccine, and they’re answering like … In other words, the answer is ‘yes’ but they don’t want to say it because they’re gutless.”
Although Trump did not mention DeSantis by name, the remarks are thought to be in part directed at the governor, who has swerved questions about whether he has had a booster shot in recent weeks.
Coulter, who was once a staunch supporter of Trump but turned on him for his failure to act on his promise to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, mocked him for the booster remarks on Twitter on Wednesday.
“EXCLUSIVE: Trump is demanding to know Ron DeSantis’s booster status, and I can now reveal it,” Coulter tweeted.
“He was a loyal booster when Trump ran in 2016, but then he learned our president was a liar and con man whose grift was permanent. I hope that clears things up.”

By October 2020 President Trump has preordered and paid for 800 million doses of the vaccine and in December 2020 nation wide vaccinations had begun. By contrast Biden can’t even manage to come up with the 500 million Covid test kits that the CDC, NIH and Fauci said we needed three months ago.
