The success or lack thereof of the Taliban should give Cruz and Hawley and other dominionists pause.
I don’t get it. Were America and its allies the only thing standing between Afghans and misery and starvation? Someone should have told the Taliban. This falls in the damned if we do, damned if we don’t category.

The Taliban are like present-day Republicans, they know how to destroy and pillage, but they have no desire to build.
