When the Dems give us something, the odds are that it’ll turn out to be positive for us, on average. When the GQP gives us something, the odds are that it’ll turn out to be positive for the GQP on average.
if your party lacks appeal, vision, ethics, integrity, and morals, you make up for it by extreme gerrymandering everything and installing laws to disenfranchise those that would vote against you.
Actually, what America needs desperately, is federal legislation regulating the how why and who of voting – the “Build Back Better” infrastructure legislation will help a great number of Americans to lead better and more productive lives, but if they are blocked from the exercise of one of the core basic rights supposedly granted us under the Constitution, what good is it?
America needs a uniform set of rules governing “Voting” – it is WAY PAST TIME for the elimination of fifty different sets of rules on how to elect our representatives! (It’s actually a lot worse than that – within each state the actual voting is controlled by the counties or parishes within the state. This was fine as long as there was some unanimity of purpose, but the republican party has degenerated into a “Cult of Personality” and the voting rules they’re in the process of establishing is so constructed so that they can control who gets to vote and who gets elected – which flies in the face of the American constitution!
It is the “Last Hurrah” of a party that is desperately trying to maintain the old outmoded idea and idealism of “White Supremacy” here in America.
What we need to get rid of is the old “Southern” concept of “States Rights” as espoused by the old Dixiecrat political party of 1948. This has finally fatally corrupted the G.O.P. to the point that they are no longer a functioning political party

Lots of partisan redistricting.
A sure sign that Republicans are terrified of there being fair, honest, truly-representational elections.
Interesting how the Democrats never need to cheat, commit fraud, threaten voters or disenfranchise any demographic to win elections.
Interesting how the Republicans have been using nothing but the Politics of Terror since 1972 as well.

The SCOTUS said anything goes, there is no racism in this country.
