Never really understood this North Pole Santa. I grew up with these https://guidetoiceland.is/history-culture/the-icelandic-yule-lads-and-gryla (warning some horror themes to say the least) and though the article be relatively accurate I would not agree when they say “twisted versions of Santa” the Icelandic yule lads are not versions of Santa as they may predate him, that said they have had a PR job and now are starting to look a bit like him.
