Is Donnie Trump, Jr. marketing T-Shirts that say, “GUNS DON’T KILL PEOPLE, ALEC BALDWIN KILLS PEOPLE” . . .? I believe he made the cover photo of the New York Post by showing his love for his daddy for going after that bad man who played daddy on SNL. Pathetic.
As someone else has pointed out, movies are ALL ABOUT tricks and techniques to make the unreal seem real. Except for rifles & pistols. There has been no reason, certainly not in the last dozen years, to use actual weapons with actual gunpowder … except “tradition” I guess, maybe. I’m sure that Baldwin is devastated (you cannot be an actor without having considerable empathy). I wonder if the NRA has anything to do with this dangerous oddity… as this cartoon seems to want me to infer.
Two things I would like to see happen. First, that quit using real guns on set, Second they start a nation wide gun registry, tracking all death and injuries in the US.

Maybe if Baldwin had shot somebody in the middle of Fifth Avenue of NYC, the Trumpers would be cheering…
