Nice sneak attack.

Is that a thing? All our dogs over the decades have been at the spot before the bowl hit the deck.

Hunger mustn’t be so big this time!!

Wolf in the dog, sneaking after his prey!

Be careful, Rover. Test your food (prey) to see if it’s still alive.

Rover just likes to play with his food!

That was the longest sneak attack I’ve ever seen!

dogs used to be such proud animals, foraging the forest for their meals. now look at them…………

Our Missy is on a diet, as she has gotten a bit, um, chonky. You’d best not be in her way after you put her food bowl down.

Maybe even both!

Stand back, Red. Next comes the pounce.

My Lizzie just pounces on her food bowl, devouring in a few bites!
