Bremerton is a long way from Fullerton. And Dennis is right…no I-5. Come on Graham, some of us have lived on the west coast for a long time, you think we’d let this slip by? LOL
National Red Light Day. I had to look this up to see if it had to do with traffic lights or something else. But I never would have guessed it was about LED lights. Here is what I it says about Red Light Day.
“October 7th may be an unusually illuminating day considering it is National LED Light Day.We are all born as incredible detectors of light. We intuitively notice differences in color and brightness. And lighting professionals know that much of human sensation is visual. People respond emotionally to light and color, using its consistency to draw us in, like moths to a glowing light. The power of LED lighting affects all of us in emotional, economic, and environmental ways, too.” It goes on to give examples of the emotional, economic& environmental aspects of LED lights. I just didn’t copy & paste that part.
I saw a skunk on my drive home last night. I was just getting to the top of a hill when I saw it – just in the nick of time to avoid hitting it. It was very close to the shoulder of the road so I didn’t have to swerve into the other traffic lane (there was no oncoming traffic anyway) to avoid hitting it. And it just turned and walked off the road. I’ve seen a skunk in that general area before, but not often. Still, I’m very alert for them around there.
I love dogs, including rotties, but this one always makes me laugh. I just realized that Jack and Chesney have more fun than I do! But yesterday I worked 7 hours weeding my flower bed outside my wall, which is about 60 feet long, so I’m happy to have finished that chore. I’ll reseed the bare spots today while the soil is still warm, and it will be in full bloom again before spring. So much to do before Thursday’s surgery after which I’m not allowed to lift or bend down for 2 weeks.
Doggone it, that sounds a like a ruff commute. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) On another note, saw a rabbit, a robin, and a chickadee while out walking today.
