It should be, because it might slow down any federal aid from coming your way….

Amazing how stupid some people are….

The top 5% aren’t concerned, either. The rest of us should be, the economy is shakey enough without Republican roadblocks.

Of course, raising the "debt ceiling is of little concern to the “average” American – that’s understandable – the “average” American is clueless about most things political – and this is deliberate, both on their part and on the part of the politicians.

But not raising the debt ceiling in a timely manner has serious consequences in the form of loss of Social Security benefits, loss of the ability to pay federals employees of all stripes, loss of Medicare and Medicaid to pay for the on-going medical crisis of the “Trump Virus” -a multi-trillion dollar loss of Jobs in America (the loss of the ability of the government to finance disaster relief – the hole in your roof wouldn’t get fixed, Louisiana).

Raising the debt ceiling (basically) allows the government to pay on the debt America has ALREADY INCURRED – the over 6 trillion dollars of debt the Trump has ALREADY incurred!

Republicans were fine with incurring that debt under Trump, but now, under Biden, they don’t want to have anything to do with the repayment, making them financial “deadbeats”.

Republicans are like the deadbeat fathers who, after “screwing” the spouse decide to walk away from her and the resultant kid because paying for the kid is cutting into his beer money.

    Way to go, republicans!

I think Louisiana voted for trump. Let him send you money for a bailout. I’m sure you wouldn’t want any of that filthy money from the guv’mint.
