Aren’t we still subsidising American coal mine owners?

Might be better saying China’s coal plants since they are building more as the USA phases them out.

Coal plants are being shut down.

    Want to help the Earth?

Walk softly. Use as little electric power as you can. Be happy where you are, resist the desire to fly 8,000 miles for a holiday. Buy the vehicle you need, not some hulk you want.

With billions of humans, every little bit, does count.

Well, efforts are being made to protect the giant Sequoias by wrapping their trumps with fire protective blankets. And more of the coal fired power plants are being eliminated, some to natural gas, as far less polluting fossil fuel, and others to renewable energy. Clearly, more needs to be done, but some is being done.

Does seem like a waste doesn’t it? All those trees could have been cut down and turned into firewood to power those plants. Turn those coal miners into loggers..

Oh gee, maybe the USA should do something to save the planet.

Oh wait, remember how idiot lying psychopath Trump extolled the virtues of clean coal?

KNP Complex wildfire explodes, pushing flames into grove of some of California’s most famous trees

Flames have been spotted within the Giant Forest, a grove that contains the Four Guardsmen and the General Sherman Tree, which is the largest tree on earth by volume. On Friday, fire crews wrapped as many trees as they could in fire-resistant aluminum blankets before high winds forced them to leave the area. Over 2,000 ancient trees live within the grove.

Don’t post to a-hole trolls spewing BS. Not posting reaffirms their insignificance. Just let ’em stew in their own vile juices and rot.

The premise that human kind contribution of 0.003% of CO2 to the Earth’s atmosphere is ridiculous. If CO2 has such an overwhelming effect, then why were there millions of years of glaciation when CO2 levels exceeded 7,000 ppmv? During the Jurassic CO2 levels were around 3,000 ppmv and the dinosaurs got along just fine.
