I’m a Facebook user. But I have lopped off several of the more objectionable bits: I only “FB-friend” actual IRL friends (with two exceptions). I do not play any of the games, which reduces the amount of personal information that gets (per EULA) siphoned into the world at large. I totally ignore the ads. And I read the posts on my friends’ timelines rather than reading whatever it is that FB wants me to read. Oh, and I use it about 75% to 25% as a place to put my OWN ideas (mostly borrowed).
Forget facebook, come to PandaBook. We have a ton of members. Unfortunately, most of our discussions concern the best Bamboo Groves and where the best shoots are found. Still, everyone’s welcome.
Facebook was fun at first, but then the Uglies and Crazies took over. I only use it because one of my friends uses the Messages instead of email (don’t ask me why, I got no clue), and that rarely. One of these days I’m going to spend a couple of hours deleting my account, insofar as possible.

We need to tax and regulate disinformation, just like firearms, alcohol, and tobacco.

Facebook has its problems but can’t take all the blame from people being garbage.

I would like to buy and Occulus VR but you have to have a Facebook account. No thanks. Google is bad enough!

Someone needs to tell this guy that quantity doesn’t mean quality.
