What’s wonderful, though, is that Peanuts lives on and is “new” for youngsters and nostalgic for us Boomers. A wonderful legacy. I never tire of reading the strips and I remember most of them. I owned a series of books that contained all his strips. (Past tense….sadly, they fell apart from being read over and over by me, my brother and then my kids).

I remember it well. It was a sad day. I’ve used the nick “Sparky” ever since as a tribute.
