You mean Congress redistributes the wealth?

Problem is that they don’t know when to stop and we end up losing a lot of productivity.

Farmers — especially the industrial-sized ones — gets LOTS of that federal money. Small farmers, not so much.

Enough politics in the comics. Please.

And Washington really spreads the manure…….heavily!

Some call it “wokeness”. Some say they are being “politically correct”. Some say they are “following the science”. Like Shakespeare, I say, “Spreading manure, by any other name, smells just as bad.”

and then they take most of the harvested crop……

If you are a larger farm operation you plow land that is almost tax exempt; you till with farm equipment you can totally depreciate over 5 years; seed likely is financed with 1.75% USDA loans and; the government will guarantee to buy your surplus or pay you not to plant. If you want to expand operations to lease additional land for a percentage of crop yield. Oh there’s manure all right, and big agra has a huge stockpile. Now the little farmer – - -that’s another story.
