Just make reservations for the hotel, get your flight a month ahead, do packing a day for two before the trip. But yes every thig else can be stressful if you don’t do it right.
I had a packing list, schedule, and samples of all sorts perfect for packing ahead of time. If it’s in a packet, then the TSA doesn’t need it in the Ziploc bag.
As I look back on my life I see that I’ve never taken a “traditional” vacation. The graph in the comic pretty much tells you why.
I have taken time off, but usually because they made me. And I have made vacation like stops whenever I did a PCS move or during TDY travel when I was on active duty. But a deliberate trip JUST for a vacation… never really did that. Closest I’ve come is three or four day weekends and then only local stuff.
It always seemed like the stress of a vacation kinda ruined the point of a vacation.
