It has been puzzling as to why Florida Governor Ron DeathSantis would be so eager to endanger the lives of his own people. What possible strategy could there be?

But now we have learned that one of his major contributors, Kenneth Griffin, is the CEO of hedge fund Citadel, which is a major shareholder in Regeneron, the manufacturer of the leading monoclonal antibody treatment (the same one Trump got).

And now DeathSantis is opening Regeneron treatment centers up and down the state of Florida, even as he downplays preventive measures such as wearing masks and getting vaccinated, even though DeathSantis is fully vaccinated himself.

So the strategy is this: downplay prevention, let them get sick, and hopefully get them to a Regeneron treatment in time for it to be effective, thus enriching one of his major donors and keeping the campaign contributions (bribes) coming.

By all accounts, Regeneron is a safe, effective treatment and is recommended for those infected and in the early stages. If someone tests positive, they should try to get this effective treatment as soon as possible. But really? Promoting it at the expense of endangering human lives?

Orlando is running out of water because so much is needed for liquid oxygen used to treat Covid patients.
