I trust that all those expatriate Cubans in Florida appreciate the fact that Obama was repairing our ties to Cuba before Trump decided to cut them again.
If we don’t have any political connection to a foreign state, we cannot influence them one way or the other, so in a very real way, Trump’s severing of the ties Obama made means that America is helpless to assist the people of Cuba in any way, now.
And I’m sure they also realize that, as now American citizens, they are prohibited from running back to their former homeland and attempting to wrest control away from the current leaders of Cuba, so just sit back, relax, and realize that, because of Trump, America cannot and will not do anything to help the good people of Cuba – well, outside of offering the republican “thoughts and prayers”, that is!
