President Trump was very much desirous to pull our troops out of Afghanistan, but the Pentagon repeatedly opposed that action and persuaded him otherwise. My only criticism of Biden is his announcing the pullout beforehand and giving a timeline to the Taliban as a heads up. This should have been downplayed and kept as quiet as possible. Other than that, I wish him the best of luck in this endeavor. Be interesting to see how successful he is with the Pentagon.
