Those groups that actually run the various royal palaces and other properties are more interested in preserving their jobs and positions than in doing the right thing. They are closer to being the keepers at the “zoo” that is the British monarchy. Other European countries with royalty rarely wind up in the news this way.
They were careful not to say anything bad about Harry’s Nan, Betty Battenburg. But the rest of the royal family have been at best cowardly and at worst racist AF. Andy could rape underage girls and gets away with being in Coventry for a while. Meghan is too dark for the tabloid press, so she and her husband were stripped of money, titles, and even security and driven from the country. His family didn’t lift a finger in his defense.
There really isn’t any reason for the monarchy, and if it is so pathetic that it can’t even stand up to the Daily Mail it needs to be kicked over and disposed of.
If getting rid of an outdated institution like monarchy demands replacing it with people like Meghan Markle who is basically the same kind of social media parasite, hypocrite, greedy and self-centered like a Kardashian, I think I’ll keep the Queen until we get a morally decent challenger.
