Unfortunately, it feels as if we have become immune to the pain of mass shootings. We are coming up on the second anniversary of the shooting that killed 12 here in my city. VB-STRONG
In the cities one can be shot whilst watching TV in their own house. People out in the streets do not care if the guy they want to shoot is in front of a house. They just let loose and generally miss their target, with those bullets plowing through the house behind the target. There was a person shot a couple weeks ago in his front room about a block from where I used to live in Lancaster City. He was watching TV. I’m so glad not to live there. 21 years in a city was enough. Back then most of my grief was supplied by the local government.
Prior to the election our local Ranch & Home and other gun venues were fully stocked. Come January the shelves are bare of ammo, there’s a waiting list for AR-15 type rifles and hand guns of all types are selling like hot cakes. Who’s to blame for all those weapons getting into the populace? Why, look no further than Joe Biden and the Democrats with their radical left wing policies. Someone breaking into your house, who you gonna call? Not the police, they’ve been defunded. Average wait time in the big cities for the cops has gone from 16 minutes to 28. The big cities and states with the highest death rate by guns are all run by long time institutionalized Democrats. Distraction is also the name of the game. Biden and Democrats make a big deal over the AR-15 semiautomatic rifle which it is NOT. Thing they don’t mention is that of the death rate from firearms, 65% are from HANDGUNS and only 3.4% are from rifles not all of which are AR-15 type weapons. Most of that 3.4% are attributed to self defense in the home.
So if there is a big outcry on gun violence, put the blame where it belongs, handguns. Taking any kind of action on AR-15 type weapons will solve nothing and just further alienate and outrage law abiding gun owners.
You should realize that this is 2021. NOT 1821. As you gun nuts forget to quote all of the second ammendment of the constitution. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the free security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”.
We have a well regulated militia, called a National Guard, and therefore it is not obligatory that the population at large be armed. It means that the government does not have to allow the population at large to possess firearms. It helps if the population is educated well enough to comprehend common colloquial english.

Quite right; the best way to fight all this gun violence is to get more guns on the street.
